Creative Misinterpretation?

This was my misheard lyrics of the song "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol. The actual lyrics were "those three words / are said too much / they're not enough". But I'd misheard them as above, and didn't notice my mistake until I sang the song at karaoke. lol

The way I heard it was a paradox: said too much, but not enough. Said too much, because too often those words are said lightly and with little to no meaning. But not enough, because wouldn't it be great to live in a world with more love, where such words are said more often and with full meaning and passion?
